Sam defended his thesis and became the 2nd PhD to graduate from our group. He has taken a postdoctoral fellowship at Army Research Laboratory and will start his new life (with his long-time girlfriend) in Maryland. Congratulations, Sam!
Huaxing was awarded the Francis Preston Venable Award, the highest honor from UNC Chemistry for a senior graduate student to help complete the PhD dissertation. Great job, Huaxing!

Fluorine leads to a dramatic increase in the efficiency of polymer solar cells. Over 7% efficiencies have been achieved in two different materials as reported in Angewante Chemie and JACS. Amazing!
