In collaboration with the School of Education Pre-College Program, the
Moran group teaches a lecture and laboratory course for local middle
school and high school students during the summer.

The lecture portion of the course introduces research conducted
in modern physical chemistry laboratories. Hands-on exercises
complement the lectures and give the students experience using
a variety of equipment including home-made telescopes,
absorption spectrometers, and commercial solar cells.
