  Research Synopsis

My research focuses on the development of the undergraduate biochemistry curriculum. My primary interest is developing new teaching methods designed to engage students in the disciplines of chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology by helping individuals learn to think and write scientifically, and analyze data. Additionally, my research also involves lab development for biochemistry track majors within the chemistry major, and I also mentor undergraduate students in independent research. Through mentorship and hands-on lab courses, our goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and techniques they need to become fully functional biochemists.
