Venable Summer Research Fellowships

Students starting their graduate studies at UNC in the fall of 2008 are invited to apply for a Venable Summer Research Fellowship for the summer of 2008. The fellowship can be used to work in the laboratory of any faculty member of the Department Chemistry at UNC. The length of the Fellowship will be from 8-10 weeks and will provide a monthly stipend. Up to 10 Fellowships, with no more than one Fellow per laboratory, will be awarded, on a first come basis.

To apply for a Venable fellowship email Prof. Michel R. Gagné, Director of Graduate studies, at: mgagne@unc.edu. You do not have to indicate whom you wish to work with at the time of application, but the sooner you indicate a lab you want to work in the more likely there will be a space in that lab.

Please note that working in a lab during the summer does not commit you to join that lab, nor does it commit the faculty member to accepting you as a permanent member of their lab once you officially begin graduate school.
